Lonar Lake water turns its color. It has become red in color. Common people and scientists are also surprised to see this change for the first time. The surprise is being expressed by the sudden red color of the water of Lonar Lake, which has made its mark in the world. The perfect reason for the change in the lake hasn't been identified. Those who have done a deep study of the Lonar lake so far, there is a difference of opinion among them. Due to red water, different types of discussions are being heard on the campus. The Lonar campus also holds its identity as the smallest bird sanctuary in Maharashtra. Due to the irregularity of rain and global warming, many changes have been observed in the environment. Also, on Wednesday (June 10), another topic has come to light from the water of this lake.
Saifan Nadaf, Tehsildar of Lonar, has said that in the last two to three days we have seen that the color of the lake water has changed. The forest department has been asked to collect samples to find out the reasons.

 According to some scientists researching at Lonar Lake said, "The change has occurred because of Lockdown and also because of no rainfall in the area the water of Lonar Lake has decreased."

Where've some researchers said," It's because of the cyclone rain which has brought halobacteria and Dolina fungus in large amount in salt lake Carotenoids pigment has formed in large amount which has made the water red."

But still, Scientists are in research for the reason.

It is said that in 2006, Lonar lake has shown something mysterious, the lake water was vapourising in a large amount. According to some villagers, they say that they have seen crystals forming in Lonar lake.

Lonar Lake was formed thousand of a year ago, by Asteroids. Scientists say that asteroid was more than 10,000 tons. But still, there is a mystery were has the asteroid gone?
